Where are flights allowed?
We can’t fly everywhere. The FAA has strict rules in place regarding airspace, especially around airports, military installations, and national or state parks. In some areas, there are limitations regarding maximum altitudes. Click the button below to open the FAA’s search tool. Just input your desired location to see if flights are allowed there. 3 Reasons to Hire an FAA Licensed Drone Service Provider
If you are looking for someone to shoot drone footage, you may be tempted to hire someone off Craigslist or simply a friend who happens to own a drone. But as of August 29, 2016, the FAA unveiled Part 107 regulations that govern the commercial use of United States airspace.

It’s the law
The FAA governs the use of the airspace and requires commercial drone pilots to be licensed. The FAA also made it illegal to use drones for any business purpose whatsoever, unless the pilot has been licensed by the FAA. That means you can’t shoot it yourself or use anything shot by a friend. We went through more than 40 hours of training over two months and passed the FAA’s 60-question test which covers aviation regulations, the airspace classification system, weather, vehicle loading, vehicle performance, and aerial operations.

Safety
Safety is our primary concern. Flying a drone must be done responsibly and with great concern for the safety of people, buildings, and equipment. Much more than “putting the drone up,” we always check local weather conditions, wind speeds, FAA TFRs (Temporary Flight Restrictions), and FAA NOTAMs (Notices to Airmen). We keep vehicle maintenance and flight logs, just as they do on large commercial aircraft. We maintain visual line of sight with the aircraft as required by law, fly under 400 feet AGL (above ground level), don’t fly over people, don’t fly over moving vehicles or non-participants, and stay in compliance with any local laws. We also carry a $1 million aviation insurance policy (up to $5 million available).
